MMA GRAPPLING
MMA Grappling at Mainland MMA
MMA Grappling is the natural continuation of our MMA Striking program. It teaches athletes how to transition from whatever striking stance or fighting style they use into wrestling, cage work and jiu-jitsu appropriately.
While the majority of the class is focused on grappling, it also covers how to enter and exit grappling exchanges safely and effectively. Athletes learn how to close distance, utilize the Muay Thai clinch, wrestle against the cage, complete takedowns and transition into dominant ground positions.
The class develops precise wrestling while strengthening every area of your ground game. You’ll work on takedown offence and defence, positional control, escapes, submissions, submission defence, scrambles and returning safely to your feet.
MMA Grappling is not simply wrestling followed by jiu-jitsu. It teaches you how to connect striking, clinching, wrestling and ground fighting so that each phase flows naturally into the next.
This is where every part of your training comes together.
This is where you become a complete mixed martial artist.
