NO-GI BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

No-Gi BJJ led by BJJ Brown Belt Coach Brady MacDonald

Mainland MMA’s No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are led by BJJ brown belt Coach Brady MacDonald. These sessions develop strong fundamentals, intelligent movement, aggressive submission attacks and a grappling style that transitions naturally into mixed martial arts.

Coach Brady teaches athletes to recognize opportunities that others miss. When an opponent confidently advances position, attempts a takedown or believes they have gained an advantage, they often expose an opening. Instead of treating those exchanges as moments of vulnerability, you’ll learn how to stay composed, reverse the situation and turn your opponent’s movement into an opportunity for a fast submission or dominant position.

The class emphasizes positional control, escapes, submission offence and defense, intelligent reactions and the ability to remain dangerous from every position. The goal is to make your grappling technically sharp, defensively sound and offensively unpredictable—especially when your opponent believes the exchange is going their way.

Coach Brady visits Mainland several times each month. On those dates, the regular evening schedule is adjusted to give him the floor. He generally teaches two sessions, including No-Gi BJJ and an MMA-focused striking or grappling class, followed by opportunities to book private training that evening or the following morning.

Coach Brady’s guest classes are not included with regular memberships. Each class has an additional $10 drop-in fee, with private sessions available to book separately.
