WOMENS MUAY THAI
Women's Muay Thai / Fitness at Mainland MMA
Women’s Muay Thai & Fitness is a supportive, high-energy class that blends Muay Thai fundamentals with conditioning-based training to deliver a full-body workout. This class focuses on learning proper technique, building confidence, improving cardio, and getting a great sweat in — all within a comfortable environment where women can train alongside other women.
Participants can expect pad work, basic striking fundamentals, movement drills, and conditioning that will challenge you while remaining approachable for beginners. Classes also incorporate balance and stability training, including work on BOSU balls — a phenomenal tool for improving balance, strengthening the legs, and targeting stabilization muscles that often go undertrained.
The goal of Women’s Muay Thai & Fitness is to act as a bridge into our Beginner Muay Thai, Boxing, and Conditioning Kettlebell classes. Whether you choose to stay with Women’s Muay Thai & Fitness or transition into mixed classes over time, you will build the skills, fitness, and confidence to do so comfortably and safely.
This class is led by Kru Zachary Elsworth, with support from Junior Coach Sara, who is actively developing into a lead coaching role. Over the next six months to a year, Sara will progressively take on greater responsibility within the Women's class, while also assisting with our kids’ programs.
Women’s Muay Thai & Fitness will always remain on the Mainland MMA schedule. Currently, it runs twice per week — Fridays and Saturdays at 2:00 PM — as it is being used intentionally as a stepping-stone into our Beginner, All Levels, and Conditioning programs.
All classes at Mainland MMA are run in a respectful, welcoming, and community-driven environment. Everyone is encouraged to support one another, grow together, and build strong connections within the gym. This is a place to learn real fundamentals, get in shape, improve strength and cardio, and become part of a positive, supportive training community.
