The Mainland MMA Mixed Martial Arts class is where everything comes together.
This isn’t just striking. It’s not just grappling. This is where you learn how to blend your skills into a complete fighter. We focus on taking your Boxing and Muay Thai and adapting them for MMA — adjusting stance, distance, and timing so you’re not exposed to takedowns, clinch entries, or counters that don’t exist in pure striking sports. You’ll learn what works, what needs to be refined, and how to apply your tools properly inside a mixed ruleset. A major part of this class is cage work and control.
We spend time on:
• Wall and clinch positioning
• Takedown defense
• Escaping bad positions and getting back to your feet
• Controlling opponents against the cage
On the ground, we incorporate live grappling, transitions, and control, along with a strong emphasis on wrestling fundamentals, which are essential for MMA success.
Like all Mainland classes, this isn’t one-dimensional. Some days are sharp and technical. Others push pace, creativity, and problem-solving. We don’t train like every other gym — we train to make you adaptable, dangerous, and composed in every phase of a fight.
